Dr Alise Beccaria, DAc, LAc, is a Doctor of Acupuncture.
Born and raised in the suburbs of New York City, Dr. Beccaria came to North Carolina following many years of successful clinical practice in the Northeast. An alumni of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Dr. Beccaria received her license to practice acupuncture by the North Carolina Acupuncture Board and is board certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is currently a board member, the President & Education Chair of North Carolina Society of Acupuncture and Asian Medicine (NCSAAM). She also holds acupuncture licenses in NY, CT and Florida.

Acupuncture

Dry Needling
There are many benefits to dry needling, including reduced muscle pain and stiffness, improved flexibility, and increased range of motion. For these reasons, dry needling is a popular drug-free treatment for busy parents, weekend warriors, and elite athletes.
Cupping
During a cupping session the practitioner places glass or plastic cups on the skin to create a vacuum. The cup then lifts the skin, tissue, and muscles upward lifting and separating the fascia. Depending on the patient's needs the cups are left in place for a short period of time, known as dry cupping, or gently moved, known as gliding.
